One of the more interesting facets of Ogunquit, Maine is the coastal history our village is steeped in. Ogunquit was first settled in the late 1620’s – and historic homes, landmarks and stories are part of what makes our community so unique.

From time to time, in The Ogunquit Barometer, we’ll be sharing a look at the enduring elements and forgotten facts of Ogunquit, Maine and the surrounding areas.

To start it off, let’s take a look at some of what has changed – and some of what has stayed the same – by comparing an old Ogunquit postcard of The Marginal Way (circa 1930) with it’s modern day digital photo counterpart.
